This piece was an extraordinary encounter.
I could feel her presence, yet I couldn’t fully bring her into view… until the moment I decided to cover the painting and begin again. And that is when she revealed herself.


Quiet and restrained, she barely pierces through the veil where she had been hiding. Part of her still remains blurred and diffuse… while the gaze, in contrast, meets us with undeniable presence.


There is something deeply intimate in this work, for me.
That place within ourselves we protect for a very long time, sometimes without even realizing it. A presence that fully exists, yet still hesitates to be completely seen.
Even the creative process itself - the layers, textures, and transparencies - reflects this subtle movement between concealment and emergence. As though something were slowly finding its way through the material, without force, taking its own time to appear.


Perhaps Hidden speaks of what remains unseen for a while… not because it does not exist, but because it is waiting for the right moment to emerge ;-)
